Dental implants are the most modern form of replacing missing teeth. These are titanium or titanium-zirconium screws that are surgically inserted into the jawbone and serve as artificial roots. Once they are in place, a crown, bridge or full denture is fitted over them, with the result looking as natural and functional as your own teeth. We use the proven Nobel Biocare and Straumann systems, which are among the world leaders in implantology.
At the first visit we will perform a complete dental examination, including CBCT (Cone Beam CT) images. This 3D technology allows us to accurately assess the amount and quality of bone tissue, as well as plan the optimal implant placement.
Based on the CBCT and intraoral scan, we create a digital model of the dentition. Using the software coDiagnostiX® or Blue Sky Plan we will plan the procedure with the utmost precision. If necessary, we will also prepare a 3D printed surgical template.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is painless. A titanium implant is inserted into the jawbone, for example NobelActive® or Straumann BLX, which ensures high primary stability even in more difficult cases. In some cases, a temporary crown can already be placed on the day of implant placement (so-called immediate loading).
During 8-12 weeks, the process occurs osseointegrationwhen the implant is firmly attached to the bone. Subsequently, a titanium or zirconia abutment and a final crown made of pressed ceramic (IPS e.max®) or zirconia (Prettau® Zirconia)to ensure an aesthetic and natural appearance.
We recommend regular check-ups and professional dental hygiene after implant placement. Proper care significantly prolongs the life of the implant - in many cases for life.
