A modern and permanent solution for tooth replacement

Dental implants are the most modern form of replacing missing teeth. These are titanium or titanium-zirconium screws that are surgically inserted into the jawbone and serve as artificial roots. Once they are in place, a crown, bridge or full denture is fitted over them, with the result looking as natural and functional as your own teeth. We use the proven Nobel Biocare and Straumann systems, which are among the world leaders in implantology.

1. Expert consultation and 3D diagnostics

At the first visit we will perform a complete dental examination, including CBCT (Cone Beam CT) images. This 3D technology allows us to accurately assess the amount and quality of bone tissue, as well as plan the optimal implant placement.

2. Digital planning

Based on the CBCT and intraoral scan, we create a digital model of the dentition. Using the software coDiagnostiX® or Blue Sky Plan we will plan the procedure with the utmost precision. If necessary, we will also prepare a 3D printed surgical template.

3. Implant insertion

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is painless. A titanium implant is inserted into the jawbone, for example NobelActive® or Straumann BLX, which ensures high primary stability even in more difficult cases. In some cases, a temporary crown can already be placed on the day of implant placement (so-called immediate loading).

4. Healing period and finalization

During 8-12 weeks, the process occurs osseointegrationwhen the implant is firmly attached to the bone. Subsequently, a titanium or zirconia abutment and a final crown made of pressed ceramic (IPS e.max®) or zirconia (Prettau® Zirconia)to ensure an aesthetic and natural appearance.

5. Regular inspection and care

We recommend regular check-ups and professional dental hygiene after implant placement. Proper care significantly prolongs the life of the implant - in many cases for life.

You should know

What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a titanium (or zirconia) screw that is surgically inserted into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. A crown, bridge or denture is then attached to the implant.
View
Is it painful to insert the implant?
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is painless. Most patients liken the sensation after the procedure to mild pressure or discomfort that subsides in a few days.
View
How long does the whole implantation process take?
The implant insertion takes approximately 30-60 minutes. However, the entire process, including healing and crown placement, can take from 2 to 6 months, depending on the individual case.
View
How much does a dental implant cost?
The price depends on the type of implant, the restoration and any additional procedures (e.g. bone filling). Prices range from €700 to €1,500 per tooth, depending on the technology used.
View
Is an implant suitable for everyone?
No. The implant is not suitable for patients with active gingivitis, heavy smoking, untreated diabetes or serious bone disease. Each case is individually assessed by the doctor.
View
What are the risks or complications?
The risks are minimal, but may include inflammation, implant non-healing, nerve damage or implant peri-implantitis. Regular hygiene and check-ups significantly reduce the risk.
View
How long will the implant last?
With proper care, an implant can last 15 to 20 years or more. Regular checkups, dental hygiene and a healthy lifestyle are important.
View
Can I have an implant even if I have lost several teeth?
Yeah. Implants can be used to replace one, several or all teeth. There are solutions such as implant-supported bridges or total restorations on 4-6 implants (All-on-4 / All-on-6).
View
How should I take care of my implant?
Like taking care of your own teeth - brushing twice a day, using an interdental brush, regular check-ups and dental hygiene 2-4 times a year. Although the implant is “artificial”, it is surrounded by living tissue.
View
What is the difference between an implant and a dental bridge?
A bridge requires grinding of adjacent healthy teeth, while an implant is inserted directly into the site of the missing tooth - without interfering with the other teeth. An implant is a more durable and natural solution.
